Our Mission

Our mission within veterinary medicine is to improve your family’s bond to your pets. We strive to make Wheaton Way Veterinary Hospital a safe haven and lively environment for our staff in order for our team to provide you and your pets with the utmost respect, compassion, empathy, and attention. To do so, Wheaton Way Veterinary Hospital’s primary medical objectives are to educate the community and provide the highest standard of care and medicine for our pets from youth to end-of-life support. We work daily toward efficiency, approachability, patience, and recognition that every pet has different needs than the next.

Safety & Comfort as a Priority

Our compassionate veterinarians and staff understand that many pets are prone to anxiety when entering a vet hospital, especially when compounded with potential negative symptoms during an urgent visit. We are devoted to accommodating the needs of fearful pets by creating a safe and calm environment that can be felt the moment we welcome them into our practice.

We are a seasoned veterinary team with excellent bedside manners, approaching each pet with soft voices and a gentle touch. Our team is dedicated to the client experience, respecting your pet’s personal space while making them feel at home throughout the process. We wish to become your reliable partner in pet healthcare, acting as a familiar face to keep your furry loved ones reassured that they’re in the confident hands of friends who have their best interests in mind.

What our clients say about us

I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff! Dr. Muller and Dr. Krisko have provided phenominal care for my frenchie and his eye issues! Haley (vet tech) and Meiko (receptionist) are both so warm and friendly each time we have come! I love that I can get timely care, when needed, with their urgent care appointments! 10/10 all around. Highly recommend!

Our Dedication to Prompt & Accurate Pet Care

Our skilled veterinarians and staff know that emergencies don’t run on a convenient schedule. We are passionate about helping your pet receive the prompt and effective veterinary care they need when they need it. Our practice prioritizes same-day appointments when possible, with at least one veterinarian on-site at all times, six days a week, to accept urgent visits at short notice.

When you bring your pet into our clinic, our veterinarians will first run a thorough exam to uncover any potential underlying concerns needing our attention. We will check your pet from head to tail and run additional testing and diagnostics, which may include x-rays, bloodwork, ultrasound, urinalysis, and more. Exams and testing will help our team determine which of our broad range of services and procedures will help your pet. Emergency surgery is also available if deemed necessary.

About
Dr. Elizabeth Muller was born in Illinois but grew up in Olympia, Washington. She grew up dancing and spending several summers working at her uncle’s veterinary clinic in Utah. She graduated from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) with a degree in bioengineering and eventually attended veterinary school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts. Her last year of school was spent at Kansas State University with externships in New Jersey, Washington, and South Africa. She has worked in general practice in Washington and Arizona seeing cats, dogs and exotics; and she particularly enjoys cases involving surgery, exotics, and emergencies. When she is not in the clinic, you can find her at home in Washington or traveling the West in search of rock climbing, ice climbing, and snowboarding. She currently lives with her partner, three cats, a very opinionated Red-Footed Tortoise and a Bearded Dragon.

A native of northern Colorado, Barry transplanted to the PNW in 2017 and has been enjoying all it has to offer ever since. As a child, there was always an inner voice drawing Barry towards caring for animals of all types and after losing his job during the Covid-19 shut-down, he finally listened. An opportunity to work in an ER presented itself, and he jumped in to a career in veterinary medicine! He quickly fell in love with emergency medicine, caring for all those fur babies and their humans during the stressful, scary times they needed it most. The ER and Urgent care became a second home as he worked as Triage and Lead Assistant, sponging up as much knowledge as possible while studying to become a Veterinary Technician. In May of 2023, a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis caused him to take a step back from the floor, and after some time away, he joined the amazing team at Wheaton Way Veterinary Hospital. When he is not working, he enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons and other fun tabletop games, reading in his backyard, and hanging out with his wife Lilia and their two furry kiddos, Benji and Bailey.

Haley was born and raised in Port Angeles, WA. Some of her favorite hobbies include camping and traveling with her boyfriend and their three year old Australian shepherd/coonhound mix, Charlie.
